An introduction to Iberotel Palace
There's something rather charming about this hotel. A far cry from the all-singing, all-dancing mega-complexes that you usually find along this stretch of coast, the Iberotel Palace is wonderfully intimate. What's more, it enjoys one of Sharm El Sheikh's most enviable locations. Not only is it set right in the heart of the old town but it's also snuggled right on the beach. So whether you want to laze beneath a palm tree with the sound of waves lapping at your feet, or fancy a stroll into town to explore the bazaars and backstreets, the Iberotel Palace lets you enjoy the best of both worlds. Plus, the hotel lays on a bus service three times a day to take you into neighbouring Naama Bay so your days can be as varied as you want them to be. As for the hotel itself, the swimming pool looks out to sea and has the added bonus of a Caribbean-style thatched swim-up bar - just the ticket when you need to cool off from sunbathing. There's an indoor pool, too. The bedrooms, however, are housed in four whitewashed wings surrounded by little shrubs, spiky yucca plants and trailing bougainvillea. The rooms themselves are bright and sunny and are kitted out with mod cons like air-conditioning and satellite TVs. And what about facilities? Well, with activities like tennis, scuba diving and aqua aerobics there's plenty to keep you on your toes. But if you fancy something a little less energetic, you can always head to the sauna or treat yourself to a relaxing massage. If you've got the kids in tow, you'll be pleased to know there's a hotel-run children's club so you can enjoy some 'me' time. Food-wise there are two restaurants here – an a la carte Italian and a buffet for half board guests. With all this on offer, it's no wonder this hotel is such a hit with Thomson customers. Wonderful memories of this resort and Egypt. So relaxing and tranquil. First class hotel with first class staff. Shame about the holiday rep - didnt have a clue!! more on this review
