Scattered with plump sofas, lazy sun loungers and a colourful riot of pink and purple bougainvillea, it's the perfect spot to drench yourself in bone-dry sunshine or cool off in the inviting pool.

If you fancy something a little more active, your hosts will gladly arrange anything from yoga lessons to camel riding to a hammam visit. Or why not book a cookery school course. You may as well, as one thing you won't be able to get away with here is piling on the pounds! Hafida takes pride in whipping up delight after delight in the kitchen. Make your way up to the beautiful al fresco terrace, pull up a chair at one of the wrought iron tables and tuck into melt-in-the-mouth Tagines and moreish desserts. Rounded off, of course, with traditional mint tea. By night, cosy up in the lounge area on the terrace and chill out with a drink under the stars.
