Kalliston, ancient Greek for 'most beautiful', certainly lives up to its name. Set on the edge of a secluded beach, this boutique hotel's truly worthy of its five star tag. It's got everything under one roof – looks, location and plenty of things to do. Style-wise, it's the Armani of the hotel world – crisp, clean and immaculately tailored. A tasteful palette of colours joins hands with the swish decor to create a visual treat for the eyes. But it's not all looks and no action – far from it. The contents are every bit as impressive as the design. Forget the usual hotel buffet restaurants – this place has got A-grade eateries with menus to die for. The Deep Blue offers gourmet classics with tasty seafood specials. Gialos Tavern presents a menu of Greek dishes with a sea view. And everything about the a la carte restaurant screams class – the decor, the atmosphere and the menu will knock you for six. Of course, no meal's complete without an after-dinner drink, so point yourself towards the bar. There's a piano lounge vibe that wouldn't seem out of place in a James Bond film. You can just picture 007 sitting on a stool, sipping a Grey Goose Martini. The other bars cater for the late-night crowd, with a livelier mix of cocktails and champagne. Drinks aside, don't neglect the pool either. Or should we say pools - this place has got three of them. You can swim indoors or outdoors, then head for the sun deck to dry off without the aid of a towel. And if you like nothing more than a bit of pampering after a swim, the spa's got your name stamped all over it. The seemingly endless list of massages and beauty treatments will have you deliberating for days. Then there's the sauna, whirlpool and Turkish baths providing the full tool-kit for relaxing. If you fancy a taste of the high life, make it happen at the Grecotel Kalliston.
