The scenery here gives you the feeling you've stepped into a painting of old Greece. Grand-looking mountains sit proudly in the distance. Towering cypress trees shoot into sky. And the view of whitewashed houses and vineyards below is simply breathtaking.

Head inside and you'll see the owners have got interior design down to a fine art. With one foot in the past and the other in the present, the decor in both is nothing short of jaw-dropping. Bare brick walls and stone floors hint at a time gone by, while the lighting and furnishings give them a New York loft feel. But the contemporary touches don't detract from the warm, rustic atmosphere. Wood-beam ceilings and wrought-iron lanterns give the properties a vintage, timeless air.

But there's more to these hideaways than just looks alone. Both are open-plan, offering a real sense of space. The living room easily accommodates an L-shaped sofa and wooden table, along with gadgets like a TV, DVD player and stereo. Wander over to the dining area and you've got a family-sized table and chairs, perfect for group meals. And just to the left is a fully-equipped and very stylish kitchen. But the real star of the show is the patio windows to the rear. These huge panels of glass take up the entire end wall, so you can soak up the natural views in all their glory.

Of course, if you really want to appreciate the scenery, step out into your own private garden. Relax on a sunlounger or pull up a chair on the stone terrace and drink it all in. And of course, no villa would be complete without a swimming pool. Both these properties have their own pool, shimmering in the middle of manicured lawns.

From the scenery to the decor, these villas are nothing short of exquisite. Put simply, they're smooth, sophisticated and drop dead gorgeous.
