An introduction to Villa Viglia
There's a wonderful rustic feel to this villa. Adorned with wooden ceilings and polished granite floors, you'll feel like you're really escaping to the country. What's more, the villa was built on an old Venetian lookout point so you'll enjoy possibly the best view on the east coast. Step out onto the terrace and take in the surroundings. Overlooking the coast, you've got an eye-popping mountain view right on your doorstep. Just picture it - an al fresco meal as the sun sets behind the mountain in the distance. Absolutely perfect. But that's not all - check out the pool. It's in a prime position, facing the sea. And there's a children's area as well as a whirlpool section.
You've got a vegetable garden right outside and the owner will no doubt let you try some of his produce. And the villa's well placed if you want to get out and about, too. Lefkas isn't far away and here you can visit the 14th-century Santa Maura castle. There are plenty of tavernas and cafes here as well if you fancy a bite to eat. So if you're looking for a peaceful bolthole away from it all but not out of it, Villa Viglia's a great choice.
