Money most definitely talks in Naples. Located a two and a half-hour drive from Miami, it's said that more millionaires have properties here than in any other US city. Knowing that, you won't be surprised to hear that there are many a jaw dropping 'des-res' to see along this stunning coastline. There are also lots of places for locals and visitors alike to spend their money. For example, Fifth Avenue has a great choice of upmarket boutiques and art galleries, and a wealth of expensive restaurants serving delicious gourmet food to those who can afford it. A speciality that's well worth trying is the locally caught stone crab – truly delicious. One place where you won't have to splash out any cash though, is on the miles of beautiful white sand beaches that Naples is also famous for. With strict building laws in place, development along the coast has been carefully controlled making it a photographer's dream spot. Plus there's plenty of opportunity to try out a few watersports. Away from the shores, the easiest way to get around and see the sights is to join one of the popular Trolley Tours. These allow you to climb on and off as you please throughout the day, and have commentators telling you historical and amusing tales about the area. Nearby Marco Island is also an interesting place to visit for the day, with its amazing beaches and nature sanctuaries.
