Highlights of the new Thomson Cruises 2009 brochure include cruises from Southampton and ‘Get up and Dance’ demos and classes onboard Thomson Celebration.

New: Thomson Spirit sails from Southampton

New for Summer 2009, Thomson Spirit will sail out of Southampton on two unique itineraries to Iberia before re-positioning to Palma where she will sail two Western Mediterranean itineraries. Departing from Southampton on 19 September 2009 on a 12 night Idyllic Iberia itinerary, Thomson Spirit sails to Lisbon; Portimao; Gibraltar; Malaga; Tangier; Porto and La Coruna before returning to Southampton. The Spirit of Iberia itinerary will sail from Southampton on 1 October 2009 on an eight night ‘one-off’ cruise with ports of call at Lisbon, Portimao, Gibraltar, Almeria, Alicante and then ending in Palma. The ship then has three cruises from Palma on our popular Jewels of the Mediterranean (x2) and Mediterranean Renaissance itineraries. The Jewels of the Mediterranean itinerary sails from Palma to Palermo, Naples, Olbia, Toulon, Barcelona and returns to Palma while the Mediterranean Renaissance itinerary has ports of call in Villefranche, Marina di Carrara (for Florence), Civitavecchia, Ajaccio, Palamos and finishing in Palma.

New: Thomson Celebration - Step in time with the stars of Strictly Come Dancing!

Last year’s Destiny Dance Fever was such a hit that we’re teaming up with Strictly Come Dancing champs, Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova, once again to launch a brand new event.

This time round we’re inviting customers to Get Up & Dance on Thomson Celebration. Every week during January and February there’ll be a series of Latin dance classes covering salsa, jive, rumba and the cha cha cha. And as the name suggests, we’re encouraging everyone to have a go, from complete novices to those with a bit more experience.

But there’s a chance to get competitive, too. At the end of each cruise there’ll be a qualifying heat to win a place in April’s expenses-paid grand final. The final will be hosted by Darren and Lilia, back-to-back winners of the hit BBC show and the former British champions of Latin dance.

One Off Cruise – Tropical Transatlantic Itinerary
